Hammond Pawn Shop Robbed Sunday, One Injured

On Sunday, May 17th at approximately 4:10 p.m., the Hammond Police Department responded to the Cash America Pawn Shop in the 6700 block of Indianapolis Blvd. in reference to a robbery, according to Lt. Steve Kellogg of the Hammond Police.

Witnesses told police that three armed, black males wearing masks, forced employees into the back room and took an unknown amount of cash and other items. One victim was struck and received minor injuries, they were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
