Hammond Teen Killed In Sauk Village Shooting
On Saturday, December 2, 2023, at approximately 6:57 PM, Sauk Village Police Officers responded to a call of a gunshot victim in the 200 block of Park Ave.
Responding officers discovered 16-year-old Amanit Dismukes of Hammond, Indiana with multiple gunshot wounds in the yard of a residence at the above listed location. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators are canvasing the area for witnesses and evidence. The South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force is assisting Sauk Village Detectives in investigating the incident. The preliminary investigation has determined this to be a targeted incident.
