Harvest Tyme Family Farm to Host Spookley the Square Pumpkin in Bullying Prevention Movement

October is National Bullying Prevention Month and Harvest Tyme Family Farm is partnering with Spookley the Square Pumpkin, the Official Spokes-Pumpkin for National Bullying Prevention Month, to raise awareness for bullying prevention.

Harvest Tyme, an agritourism destination in Lowell, Indiana, will be hosting a live meet and great Spookley the Square Pumpkin on October 13th, 14th, and 15th at their Fall Festival and Pumpkin Glow and Trail of Lights events to help its younger visitors understand the importance of being tolerant and kind.

Spookley was first introduced to millions of children in the book The Legend of Spookley the Square Pumpkin, in which he is shunned by all of the round pumpkins until a mighty storm threatens to destroy the entire pumpkin patch and only Spookley, with his unique shape, can save the day.

Harvest Tyme is one of many family farms across North America that will be embracing Spookley and his story with visitors throughout the fall. “Spookley is an adorable character with a wonderful message,” says Josh Sickinger, owner. “We are delighted to share Spookley with our visitors to raise awareness for National Bullying Prevention Month.”

Aside from Spookley’s visit, guests can also enjoy pumpkin picking, hayrides, amusement rides, farm games, and more at the Fall Festival, which is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The Pumpkin Glow and Trail of Lights event, available on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, allows guests to take a walk along a half-mile trail with displays, jack-o’-lanterns, and LED lights. Both eventsare open every weekend through October 29th. For additional information, please visit HarvestTymeFun.com.
