Head On Crash Kills One Overnight In Gary
A head on crash overnight around 12:45 AM Wednesday killed a Gary man near the intersection of U.S. 12 & Tennessee St, according to Gary Police.
Officers arrived on scene and found a Chevy Impala vs Chevy Trailblazer collided head on. The driver of the Impala was unresponsive at the scene but alive and was transported to an area hospital in serious condition. The driver of the Trailblazer was declared deceased on scene by The Lake County Coroner.
A witness on scene told police the Impala was traveling East in the westbound lanes without lights on before the crash. Lake County Sheriff Reconstruction Team is investigating this crash.
