Hobart Drug House Raided For Second Time
On Monday, July 26, 2021 at approximately 5:15 AM, the Hobart Police Department was assisted by the Northwest Regional SWAT Team with the execution of a search warrant at 181 Fraser Lane in Hobart, according to Captain James Gonzales.
The search warrant was the result of the culmination of a month-long narcotics investigation involving the homeowner and other individuals staying in the residence.
Five people were taken into custody, including the homeowner. The homeowner is 59 years old and a Hobart resident, the four other suspects taken into custody were a male, 34 years old from Hobart, a female, 37 years of age from Highland, a female 45 years of age from Portage and a female, 44 years of age from Hobart.
The suspects face the following charges:
Possession of Methamphetamine, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Visiting a Common Nuisance and Possession of Paraphernalia and Hypodermic Needles.
The same residence had a search warrant served involving similar circumstances on November 26, 2020, which the same homeowner was arrested and charged with Maintaining a Common Nuisance and Possession of Paraphernalia, Gonzales stated.

Jennifer Cooper, Angel Tosado and Jennifer Quasney are currently in custody at the Lake County Jail. Scott Smith and Michelle Burchwell are no longer in custody.
