Hobart Police Investigating Armed Robbery
Hobart Police were dispatched approximately 3:25 AM on Friday, 10-22-2021, to Speedway Gas Station on 61st Avenue in reference to a personal armed robbery, according to Hobart Police.
The victim reported that he was approached by a thin black male wearing a facemask, armed with a handgun. The male demanded the victim’s money, and victim complied, also giving the male his phone, police stated.
The male then fled with another male in a vehicle, only description provided was “newer model, possibly a Honda.” The victim then attempted to pursue the suspects and stated
shots were fired at his vehicle as he pursued the suspects on I-65. Police said however that was not confirmed and there was no evidence of that located during a search of that area. There were no reported injuries during the incident. The victim’s phone was recovered on the side of the roadway.
At this time no suspects are in custody. If anyone has any information they are asked to call Hobart Detectives.
