Huge Parade In Support Of Porter County Cancer Patient

On Sunday, April 19, 2020, representatives from multiple Porter County Fire Departments, Porter EMS, Porter PD, Porter County Sheriff’s Department, Stark County Sheriff’s, Porter County EMA along with hundreds of friends and family showed their support of Jennifer Ford and her family.

Jennifer is battling cancer so friends and family pulled together in less than 24 hours to put this parade together. With Jenn and her family at her side, all together at the end of their cul-de-sac in Porter, Indiana. They watched as over 200 fire apparatuses, ambulances, police cars and personal vehicles with signs that read, “we love you Jenn” and “you got this”, make the turn in her cul-de-sac and show their support.

Assistant Chief Mosley, from the South Haven Fire Dept stated that his department was contacted to see if they could put something together, to show support to Jennifer and her family. He said Jennifer’s dad is a volunteer firefighter for South Have and this is what the firefighter brother/sisterhood is all about, and what an amazing show of support it was!

On behalf of everyone here at Region News Source, we want to send our support & love to Jennifer and her family in these difficult times!

  1. Just a word of thanks for posting this article on Jennifer Ford. Our son Douglas is married to Jens mother, Vikki. Douglas has grown very close to the Ford family especially to Chris and Jen’s little girls. We would have loved to been there today for Jen but we live in Florida. The showing of support for this young lady is overwhelming. Thanks again for the post.
