I-65 Southbound Remains Closed After Rollover

Friday morning at approximately 5:00 a.m., Indiana State Police Trooper Kevin Council responded to a semi-rollover on I-65 southbound at the 210 mile-marker in Jasper County.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2020 International tractor-trailer ran off the roadway for unknown reasons and rolled over onto its side causing the right lane to be blocked.  The trailer contained 20,000 lbs. of general freight for delivery in Indianapolis.  The driver of the truck, Aaron Patterson, 44, from Indianapolis, IN, was not injured.  All southbound lanes were closed for scene cleanup with traffic being diverted at exit 215 (SR 114).

Assisting at the scene is Farney’s Towing, INDOT and Bennett’s Towing.

As of 12:30 PM all lanes southbound remain closed.  Crews are hoping to have the roadway open by 3:30 PM.
