Lansing Apartment Fire Ongoing
Around 3AM Monday Lansing Fire Department was dispatched for a possible apartment fire located at 3052 Bernice Ave. On arrival crews were met with heavy smoke and flames in multiple units. A Box Alarm was called in and multiple agencies are on scene fighting fire.
At this time we believe some residents may have needed to jump to safety from the third floor a witness on scene reported. RNS saw multiple ambulances leaving the scene as of 4:15AM. One jumper was taken to a local hospital for an injury. Reports are also indicating that multiple Police Officers were taken for smoke inhalation. Lt. Al Phillips with The Lansing Police has told RNS all officers as of 10AM have been treated and released.
It’s unclear at this time to the extent of injuries or how many people are currently displaced. Lansing Fire Officials were not immediately available for comment. We will update as this situation is ongoing.
