Large Brush Fire Fought In Calumet City
Calumet City Fire Department was dispatched at 11:36AM Saturday for a large brush fire, according to Calumet City Fire Chief Glenn Bachert. This was not a controlled burn, Bachert stated.
A MABAS Brush Box Alarm was called which brought in Glenwood & Riverdale with engines, Flossmoor with a water tender and Markham, Country Club Hills and Lynwood with Brush Trucks. Orland and Lynwood responded with drones as well to help assist in locating remote areas burning. All units were able to clear the scene by 3:46PM Saturday.
