Legislation Says Make Daylight Savings Permanent

The Senate approved legislation today, March 15, 2022, that would make daylight saving time permanent in the U.S. starting in 2023. Daylight savings has been used since 1918.

The bill, called The Sunshine Protection Act, was passed with no opposition. It will now go to The House for a vote and then Biden. If enacted, we would no longer need to change our clocks twice a year.
