Male Found Shot In Leg Friday Morning At Griffith Gas Station
At approximately 4:54 AM on July 8, 2022, officers of the Griffith Police Department responded to the 1900 block of North Arbogast Street reference to reports of shots fired, according to Griffith Police.
Upon arrival to investigate, a second report was received of a male subject with a gunshot wound to his leg from a nearby gas station.
The initial investigation revealed that the victim had confronted a subject that was looking into windows of parked vehicles in the 1900 block of North Arbogast Street when the subject began to shoot in the victim’s direction, striking him in his leg, police said.
The unknown suspect fled the scene in a dark colored vehicle, possibly a Chevrolet Impala, with tinted windows.
The victim was treated and released from the hospital, police added.
