Man Shot At Hammond Bar After Being Followed
On February 1st, at approximately 2:30 a.m., Hammond police responded to Mr. Joe’s located in the 100 block of 142nd St. in reference to shots fired, Lt. Steve Kellogg of The Hammond Police told Region News.
When officers arrived they learned that a 39-year-old male was involved in an argument at another location. The victim stated that two males followed him to Mr. Joe’s and a heavyset Hispanic male shot him in the ankle, Kellogg said. The suspects fled the location and the victim was transported to a hospital for treatment in stable condition. This was an isolated incident to the parties involved, Hammond Police stated.
