Manhunt In Dyer After Police Chase
UPDATE – Suspect in custody as of 10:25am
A manhunt is underway after a police chase that originated in IL came to a crash in Dyer. The crash is believed to happen near Berens St. while Sauk Village police were in pursuit. Police are currently looking for a black male with a white tee shirt and no shoes that ran after the crash. Possibly wanted in connection with an Illinois weapon offense. A passenger was taken into custody immediately at the crash.
The main focus of the search is Forest Park Dr area which is South of Franciscan Hospital and West of Hart St.
Police have a large multiagency perimeter in the area established. K-9’s and helicopter are tracking a suspect and police ask you remain inside and lock your doors. Report any suspicious activity immediately.
