Merrillville Police Investigating Shootings
Merrillville Police are investigating a shooting that possibly left two injured Tuesday around 6:30pm. Merrillville Police have two separate crime scenes set up, first one is located at 1700 block of 60th Place and the other located at the GoLo Gas Station at 5600 Harrison. Preliminary info is saying one victim was shot multiple times. Radio traffic also indicated to a possible second victim but that was not confirmed Tuesday. Leonard White, Merrillville Council Vice President, had a post up in a social media group stating suspects might have been located in the area of Barkley Village. Merrillville Police were not available comment as of 8pm Tuesday. We expect an update in the morning.
