Metro Recycling In Valpo Burns Tuesday Night
A large fire destroyed a good portion of Metro Recycling located at 2155 W Lincolnway in Valparaiso, Tuesday evening around 5pm. Firefighters on arrival dealt with heavy smoke and flames and one Firefighter had a minor heat related injury but no other injuries were reported. The fire was said to have started with trash burning and quickly spread a witness said.
Firefighters from Washington Township, South Haven, Boone Grove, Liberty Township, Union Township, and Morgan Township assisted Valpo with multiple tankers.
