Shootout At Meijer Parking Lot
Shootout at Merrillville Meijer parking lot at 611 W Lincoln Hwy, between two vehicles around 7:20pm Tuesday evening. Merrillville Police have a crime scene set up with multiple shell casings but no injured parties were found. One person of interest in the area was tracked down shortly after and taken into custody according to Police. A witness described what he thought was a .223 Rifle was being used. The witness also described two vehicles exchanging gun fire before fleeing the scene. We will have a full update as information comes in.
