Multiple Vehicles & Store Damaged After Shooting In EC
At 6:11 PM East Chicago Police Shotspotter technology indicated 23 rounds were fired on the 3900 block of Deodar Street, according to East Chicago Police Chief Jose Rivera.
Officers arrived on scene and located numerous shell casings in the area and numerous vehicles struck by gunfire. The front window and entry door of Midwest Eats, a local restaurant in the 3900 block of Main Street was also damaged by the gunfire, Rivera stated.
While on scene Officers were directed to 1 male victim who suffered a wound to the head on the 3900 block of Main. It was later learned at the hospital the wound was from the glass breaking at the establishment.
