One Dead Two Others Shot In EC
East Chicago Police responded to 4818 Alexander Avenue in reference to shotspotter technology indicating 30 shots being fired in the area, according to Deputy Chief Jose Rivera. Upon officers arrival they located 2 gunshot victims (1 adult male / 1 adult female). A third victim (adult male) was driven to St Catherine Hospital by a family member, Rivera said. One adult male succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at St Catherine Hospital. The other 2 victims are in serious but stable condition.
UPDATE – At 11:03PM police responded back to this location for another gun shot victim who is a 25 year old male. He was shot in face and transported to a hospital.
