One Male Shot In Hammond
Shortly before 9:30pm Friday night a call for a gun shot victim at The GoLo Gas Station located at 7306 Indianapolis Blvd in Hammond. Police learned a male was shot in his leg when they arrived. He was transported to an area trauma center.
Police are investigating this shooting currently on scene and it is unclear at this time if this was a possible home invasion or an acquaintance of the victim.
This is still an active investigation on scene and we will update with more information when Hammond Police update this incident.
Update – On January 24th, at approximately 9:25 p.m., Hammond police responded to the 7300 block of Indianapolis Boulevard in reference to a report of a shooting. Officers arrived and spoke with the 27-year-old male victim who stated he was shot by a subject at another location. The victim walked to the gas station to report the incident.
