Overnight Burglary At Munster Strip Mall
At approximately 3:00am Saturday, officers were advised of a burglary in progress to a business near Munster Tobacco, 7950 Calumet Avenue, according to Lt. John Peirick of The Munster Police. Multiple witnesses in the area advised they heard banging and saw subjects running in and out of the business, Peirick told RNS. As officers arrived in the area, witnesses stated they saw a dark 2 door vehicle flee the area and travel east on I80. Officers located a broken window at 7950 Calumet Avenue, and items strewn around the parking lot and business. At this point it is unknown what was taken and there are no suspects, police said.
