Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Train In Dyer
On Saturday, August 27, 2022 around 3:46 PM Dyer Police responded to the area behind 1300 Deer Creek Dr for a person who was accidentally struck by a CN freight train, according to Dyer Police Chief William Alcott.
The victim was transported to Franciscan Dyer for life threatening injuries where they succumbed to their injuries. The identity of the deceased individual was not released by the Lake County Coroner.
Dyer Police and CN Railroad are investigating the accident.
