Pedestrian Struck & Killed On Bishop Ford
On Thursday, October 7, 2021 around 12:54 AM Illinois State Police responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian on I-94 Westbound near 115th Street.
A preliminary investigation indicates a 1996 White Lexus was traveling northbound on Interstate 94 near 120th Street in the third lane from the left, when the Lexus struck a pedestrian in the lane of traffic. The pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene. The victim was identified as Benjamin F. Kennerly, 89, of Chicago, IL
The northbound lanes of Interstate 94 near 130th Street were closed for the investigation; all lanes were reopened at approximately 4:55 AM.
