Sandridge Center In Calumet City On Fire Monday
On June 14th approximately 4:45 AM Calumet City Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 600 Oglesby at The Sandridge Fitness Center.
On arrival of crews they observed heavy smoke coming from the roof of the building, according to officials. Firefighter were able to contain the fire from spreading through more of the building. Calumet City received mutual aid from a number of local Fire Departments. The injuries were reported and the building was closed during the incident.
The building sustained smoke and water damage and will remain closed, Calumet City officials said late Monday. The fire is currently under investigation by Calumet City Fire & Police Departments.
