Sheriff’s Department Investigating Serious Crash
Just before 5 PM, Wednesday (02/15/2023) an officer with the Lake County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene of a crash in Cedar Lake where one driver was ejected from a pickup truck, according to Lake County Sheriff Oscar Martinez Jr.
The investigation is ongoing, but at this time it’s believed the pickup truck was traveling north on Wicker Avenue, and a sedan was traveling south on Wicker Avenue. The driver of the car was turning east on 151st Avenue when the pickup truck collided with it.
The driver of the pickup truck was thrown from the vehicle, Martinez said. That driver was transported to an area hospital.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Department Crash Reconstruction Unit is investigating.
