Shooting on 162nd & Cottage Grove
One person was shot Thursday evening in South Holland on Cottage Grove near the Jewel & McDonald’s around 5pm. The victim was transported to an area hospital. As of 7:30 Cottage Grove is closed off as CSI investigates. We have reached out to the South Holland Police for a statement and will update this as information becomes available.
The Sauk Village Twitter feed has updated information regarding this shooting saying it was a domestic situation involving an argument with a father and son. The son allegedly shot his father in his arm.
