State Trooper Car Hit On 80/94
An Indiana State Trooper was working a single vehicle accident on 80/94 Westbound at the Indianapolis Blvd exit shortly after 8AM when his vehicle was struck from behind.
The Trooper and the driver of the other vehicle were injured. The Trooper is stable at this time with non life threatening injuries. The ambulance was escorted to a local hospital with the help of surrounding departments. As of 10:45AM the Trooper was released from the hospital. He is a little sore and banged up but will recover. The condition of the other driver is not clear at this time.
There was multiple incidents in this immediate area Friday morning. Radio traffic indicated there may have been icy patches in the area.
