Suspect Arrested From Expressway Homicide
Friday afternoon, detectives from the Indiana State Police Lowell Post made an arrest after an intensive two-week investigation into the fatal interstate shooting that occurred on September 20th along I-80/94 in Lake County, according to Sgt. Glen Fifield of The Indiana State Police.
Charged with Murder- Level 1 Felony, is Shaughn S. Nelson, 28, from Gary, IN. Detectives spent hours reviewing evidence gathered from the crime scene and the vehicles involved which lead them to Mr. Nelson. He is currently being held at the Lake County Jail without bond. This was a targeted victim and not a random shooting.
