Two Individuals Shot In Lansing Cause Crime Scene At Munster Hospital Thursday

On Thursday, February 15th, at 8:28 PM, the Lansing Police Department responded to the 18500 block of Wildwood Avenue for a shots fired call, according to the Lansing Police Department.

Officers located shell casings and broken glass in the area. A short time later, it was learned that two individuals arrived at Community Hospital in Munster, in a Jeep with numerous bullet holes in it. The individuals were treated for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds and released from the hospital later that night.

At 10:05 PM, Lansing Police and Fire Departments responded to the 2300 block of 185th Street for a vehicle on fire. A Hyundai Elantra with Illinois registration was engulfed in flames. The vehicle was reported stolen out of Lake County, IL and had numerous bullet holes in it. The vehicle was unoccupied and no injuries were reported.

Both incidents are currently being investigated. At this time, it is unknown if both incidents are related.
