Two Shot In Thornton Sunday Night
On Sunday, August 23rd, 2020 at approximately 11:30 pm, Thornton Police Officers were dispatched to the area of Schwab St. & Margaret St. for reports of gunshots, according to Police. When officers arrived, they located bullet casings in the street. An initial search of the area had negative results for victims, vehicles, and offenders.
Two gunshot victims were located approximately 15 minutes after the initial call, police stated. One victim was located in Glenwood Illinois. The second victim was located in Thornton, near the Cook County Forest Preserve area.
At this time, both victims are expected to survive their wounds. Neither victim has made statements to Thornton PD detectives. The investigation is ongoing.
