Watch – Gary SWAT Served A Warrant For A Felon Wednesday

Gary Police & SWAT serve arrest warrant on Gary man late Wednesday. Around 7PM The MAG Unit was sent out to locate a wanted man, according to Lt. Tom Pawlak of The Gary Police. Officers were able to locate the suspect but he refused to exit the apartment. SWAT was called in around 8 PM to assist with the barricaded suspect at 4300 W. 23rd. Gary’s MRAP arrived on the scene and the suspect quickly surrendered without incident. The MRAP was donated to Gary over the summer by the LA Police. Watch video below of SWAT moving in below.

The suspect was identified as Bobbie Walton, 45, of Gary and was transported to Lake County Jail on the following warrants:

Domestic Battery By Means of a Deadly Weapon – Class 5 Felony

3 Counts of Intimidation where he draws weapon – Class 5 Felony

Domestic Battery Resulting In Moderate Injury – Class 6 Felony

Domestic Battery In Front Of Child Less Than 16 – Class 6 Felony

Escape for knowing or intentionally violating home detention. – Level 6 Felony
