Wednesday Update On Indiana COVID-19

Indiana is now up to 2,565 positive cases with 65 deaths. Lake County continues to rise with 180 cases and 6 deaths making it the second hot spot in the state for the virus. Testing has gone up locally as well as statewide with 14,375 tested as of yesterday. Indiana has also put out a demographic chart of ages affected as well as deaths. (pictured below)

RNS original story from 2 weeks ago of Hobart Pastor Jeff Spencer along with his wife (Hammond School Bus Aide) who has been hospitalized from COVID-19 as Lake County’s first confirmed case took a sad turn yesterday as Jeff announced his wife’s passing. Our thoughts go out to the Spencer Family as well as his daughter and him for a recovery of their current illness.

Global: 883,225 up today from 801,400 confirmed cases yesterday

Total recovered: 189,753 up from yesterday 172,657 confirmed cases

Total Deceased: 44,156 confirmed cases up from yesterday’s 39,014 confirmed deaths 

Total Countries Impacted  184 of 195  

Italy 12,428 confirmed deaths, the most globally, followed by China with 3,316 reported deaths
