Anthony Santucci, 52, of Valparaiso, is facing felony charges following an incident in Rensselaer where police allege he struck a man with his vehicle and drove away.

According to court documents, Rensselaer Police responded around 5:07 p.m. August 15 to a complaint of reckless driving. A woman reported Santucci was driving at a high rate of speed in the area and said she confronted him about it.

Santucci allegedly began yelling at the woman and called her a “meth head.” The woman’s daughter then told Santucci not to speak to her mother that way. According to the probable cause affidavit, Santucci yelled at the daughter and told her to “put his nuts in her mouth.”

Another man then attempted to confront Santucci about his behavior. Police said Santucci got into his vehicle and began driving toward the man. As Santucci passed him, he allegedly struck the man in the legs with his vehicle, causing him pain.

Santucci then drove away “in an aggressive manner,” according to court documents.
