The Porter County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a battery that occurred at 3550 State Road 2, in Center Township.
Officers were dispatched at approximately 8:25 p.m. and upon arrival located a male victim with a gunshot wound. The injured male was transported to a local hospital for treatment and is in stable condition, according to Sheriff’s Office.
This appears to be an isolated incident and they do not believe there is an on-going threat to public safety at this time.
