Armed Robber Strikes Munster Resident Multiple Times With Gun
On Saturday, October 24th at 4:23PM, an elderly male victim advised that he was walking on Camellia near Elmwood Drive when he saw a black Jeep sport utility vehicle drive past him westbound on Camellia. When the victim turned onto Elmwood Drive, he reportedly observed the vehicle driving south on Elmwood and advised that it stopped next to him.
A black male suspect (6’, thin build) reportedly exited the passenger side of the vehicle and ran towards the victim and demanded his wallet while displaying a handgun and pointing it at him. The victim further advised that another black male suspect (same height/build) reportedly exited the driver’s side and also displayed a handgun after which he was struck several times in the head and pushed to the ground. The suspects took the victim’s wallet and fled the scene.
