BP America Makes PPE Donation To Franciscan Health

A donated supply of personal protective equipment (PPE) was delivered to Franciscan Health Hammond by officials from BP America in Whiting on Friday, June 26. The items included 3,000 N95 masks, 637 duckbill masks, 188 face shields and 500 disposable shoe covers. The donation will help protect hospital staff as they continue to treat patients for COVID-19.

“We are grateful for the outstanding medical staff at Franciscan Health and all they do to keep our community healthy. This is a small way BP can do our part to help keep them safe so they can continue their life-saving work,” said BP Whiting Refinery Manager Dave Kurt.

Franciscan Health Hammond/Dyer/Munster President and CEO Patrick Maloney said, “I would like to recognize the efforts of the team from BP Whiting for working extra hours to arrange for this very generous donation to keep our medical staff and patients safe during these uncertain times.”
