Calumet City Man Charged With 3 Counts of Attempted Murder Of Police
A 52-year-old Calumet City man who fired shots at police and barricaded himself in the 100 block of Maple in Calumet City on Sunday was charged with:
· 3 counts of Attempted Murder of a Police Officer
· 3 counts of Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm
· 2 counts of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon by Felon
· 2 counts of Armed Habitual Criminal
Additional charges are pending for the shooting incident which occurred in the 100 block of State Street. That portion of the investigation is ongoing; therefore the suspects identity cannot be released at this time.
