Car Crashes Into A Munster Pool After Burnout
A 2017 Ford Mustang did a burn out after stopping at the intersection of Broadmoor & Howard and ended up inside an in ground pool on the corner of Kooy & Broadmoor in Munster around 7:30PM Tuesday. A video shown to RNS at the scene by a resident showed a smoke filled road before losing control.
Two occupants, a male driver and female passenger were in the Mustang but were not injured, according to Assistant Chief Dave Strbjak of The Munster Fire Department. RNS was given video footage of the Mustang leaving the stop sign after burning out and losing control.
Munster Police are investigating and the male driver is suspected of alcohol intoxication, police said.
