County Sheriff Warns Of Phone Scam Impersonators
The Lake County Sheriff’s Department has become aware of recent calls to Lake County residents from people pretending to be officers with the Sheriff’s Civil Office.
Please be advised that the Lake County Sheriff’s Department Civil Process Unit WILL NOT call you to advise you that you have a warrant.
Any calls from 219-655-9726 or 832-280-6535 ARE NOT from the Lake County Sheriff’s Department. Please do not give out any personal information to or agree to meet anyone who calls from these two numbers, Police said Monday.
