Donated AED’s Added To Squad Cars For Quick Response
On Friday, May 13th, 2022, The Portage and Valparaiso Police Departments were the recipients of a donation of four Phillips brand, FRX model automated external defibrillators (AED’s). These AED’s were purchased from Lakeshore CPR & Safety Training at a special price and generously donated by the Northwest Indiana Dental Society.
These life-saving pieces of equipment will be assigned to officers of each departments respective patrol divisions. Having this equipment at the ready in police vehicles already dispersed throughout the cities will allow first responders to arrive at scenes more rapidly, where such equipment is needed. During these heart health emergencies, seconds can mean the difference between life and death, police said.
“We are incredibly grateful to the Northwest Indiana Dental Societyfor considering each of our agencies when making this donation,” Portage Police said.
