Dyer Man Struck By Car While Biking
On Monday, 5-22-23 at approximately 8:57 PM, Schererville Police and Fire were dispatched to the 900 block of Eagle Ridge Dr in regards to a vehicle vs bicycle accident, according to Schererville Police.
Preliminary investigation indicates that a male subject was riding a bicycle southbound on Eagle Ridge Dr when he was hit by a black Ford Fusion that was traveling northbound. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and was cooperative, police said.
The male subject on the bicycle was transported to a local hospital but passed away from his injuries the following day. The Lake County Coroner’s Office has identified the male as Alfredo Munoz, 68 years old from Dyer.
