Fatal Accident On I-80 & Torrence
On June 28 at approximately 1:46am a 2006 Black Cadillac was driving Eastbound on I-80 on the Torrence Ave exit and lost control, according to Illinois State Police. The Cadillac struck a light pole on the ramp for unknown reasons at this time. The driver Andres Hernandez, 23, of Harvey IL was pronounced deceased, ISP stated. A 23 year old passenger from Harvey was also transported with life threatening injuries to an area hospital. This crash remains under investigation. The ramp to Torrence Ave was reopened around 5:30am police said.
