Fatal Vehicle Vs Pedestrian Accident In Merrillville
Early Sunday morning around 12:45am Merrillville Police responded to the 9100 block of Taft Street regarding a vehicle vs pedestrian accident. Officers arrived on scene and found a deceased male. The Lake County Coroner has the victim classified as John Doe as of 11am Sunday. The driver of the vehicle was taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries and normal protocol of alcohol and drug screening. The Merrillville Police Crash Team along with with the Lake County Coroner is investigating this incident currently and will provide more information as it becomes available.
