Gary Man Dies After Griffith Accident
Monday morning around 11:30am Griffith Police & Fire were dispatched to the corner of Elm & Colfax for a single vehicle accident involving a truck pulling a trailer that crashed into a utility pole.
Griffith Police stated the preliminary investigation indicated the driver might have suffered from a medical condition. The driver was transported to Munster Community where he later passed.
The Lake County Coroner has identified the victim as Sylvester Cason, 70, of Gary. The coroner results are pending on the cause of death as of 4pm Monday.
