Hammond Teen Caught Vandalizing Road At Dunes

While patrolling the deer reduction zone in northwest Porter County, Indiana Conservation Officers rolled up on a group of young adults contributing to a recent rash of vandalism on Stagecoach Road, according to a release.

An 18 year old Hammond man, now identified as Miguel Gallegos, was jailed after he was found to be in possession of more than 100 grams marijuana and alcohol. He was also found to be responsible for some vandalism occurring at Indiana Dunes National Park property and was issued a federal court citation by Indiana Dunes National Park Rangers. An 18 year old female involved was also issued a summons for Minor in Possession if Alcohol and littering.

All charges are merely accusations and all suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in court. We will have updates and mugshot when they are processed.
