Illinois Residents Ready To Cross The Border For Indiana Business

Illinois residents are anxiously awaiting getting back to the normal routine, pre COVID-19 pandemic. With Indiana opening the state weeks before Illinois many people plan on making the hop, skip, and jump across the state line to shop, dine, and visit the much needed salons. Local Indiana businesses are happy to take on as many customers as possible to make up for the loss over the last month. Lake County which is currently held back from partially opening for Phase 2 of Indiana Governor Holcomb’s plan is anticipating the surge in 2 weeks. On May 18 with many businesses opening with restrictions from the Governor say they are just happy to be back to work fully.

Salons and Barbershops which many are needing will be allowed to reopen May 18. These businesses are already booking appointments quick per the Governor’s order. The usual Walk In shops will now be practicing by appointment only to limit the amount of people in an establishment at a given time. Restaurants on the other hand will be filling only to 50% capacity at a time with only small tables and no bar seating.

  1. Why do you think Lake County is a hotspot? There should be gates at the border and taking temperature/screening of everyone crossing.

  2. We should close our state border so they don’t spread from Illinois since they state is still closed they need to get there governor in line. We the people!!!!
