COVID-19 Testing In Crown Point This Weekend

The Lake County Health Department will be conducting COVID-19 testing on symptomatic individuals May 2 and 3 from 10am-1pm or until tests run out. Please bring your ID and insurance information and a copy of each, as it will be billed. You will not be charged.
Testing will be conducted at 755 Industrial Blvd, Crown Point, IN 46307

Individuals must meet the following criteria:
The following symptoms or combinations of symptoms qualify an individual for COVID-19 testing:

  • cough or shortness of breath
  • at least two of the following: fever, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell
    Only the following individuals with the above symptoms qualify for testing:
  • healthcare workers who treat vulnerable populations; or
  • first responders; or
  • workers at essential businesses as set forth in Executive Order 20-18; or
  • are sixty (60) years of age or older; or
  • suffer from an immunocompromising condition; or
  • close contacts of confirmed COVID-19 positive patient when it is imperative the contact continues to work and/or have close contact with at risk populations (a close contact is someone who was within 6 feet of an infected person for at least 15 minutes starting from 48 hours before illness onset until the time the patient is isolated); or
  • individuals and staff in group residential homes and facilities who are at increased risk based on their proximity to at risk patients
    CLOSE CONTACT NURSING HOME STAFF ARE NOT REQUIRED TO HAVE COVID-19 SYMPTOMS PRIOR TO BEING TESTED
