Lansing Residential Fire Quickly Extinguished
Lansing Fire Department was dispatched to a Structure Fire around 7:30pm Friday at 17942 Lorenz Ave. Crews responded and saw smoke on arrival with fire in a rear bedroom. Firefighters realized the home was vacant upon entry and the fire was quickly extinguished. A Lansing work permit for the home could be seen on the front window. Lansing was assisted with mutual aid from South Holland, Calumet City and Munster. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
