Suspicious Male Arrested Outside Of School

The Valparaiso Police Responded to Flint Lake Elementary School, 4106 Calumet Ave., today at 1:20 p.m. regarding a suspicious male subject that had entered the building with a parent of a student. The male and female entered into a minor verbal altercation within the building and the female left the area, leaving the male behind. The male began to act inappropriately on school grounds by exhibiting signs of intoxication and being belligerent with school staff. His actions continued and elevated as staff requested he leave the property. The male refused and police were contacted. During this time the male exited the school, which was quickly placed on lockdown. The police immediately arrived and the lockdown was lifted in less than 10 minutes. The male was identified as Koilyn Walker, 27, of Hammond and taken into custody on a charge of Disorderly Conduct due to his behavior. Walker was transported to and held at Porter County Jail on his charge.

  2. If this dude was from Hammond……what business did he have being in a Valpo school?…….NONE…….the other question that remains….is, where and who was the female, and what was her role?…….this is fishy at best…..
