Man Shot Multiple Times In Merrillville
On Sunday, 12/19/2021, at approximately 9:45 PM the Merrillville Police Department responded to the 7300 block of Noble Street in reference to a shots fired call, according to Assistant Chief Kosta Nuses.
Patrol officers arrived on scene a short time later and observed significant damage to an apartment building from gunfire. They entered the apartment building and located a victim who was seriously wounded, Nuses told RNS.
The victim was transported to an area hospital for further treatment. The Merrillville Detective Bureau is actively investigating this shooting and is requesting your assistance.
